This is a make-or-break week for markets.
Chipmaking giant Nvidia (NVDA) reports after the closing bell on Wednesday.
Nvidia’s major customers have already reported earnings. The AI buildout is still showing strong earnings across all “hyperscalers.”
The only question left for investors is: by how much does Nvidia have to beat earnings to notch a new record high?
Investors looking for more bang for their IRA bucks would be smart to consider another strong, off-the-radar sector right now: mining stocks.
Precious metals mining companies have paused in recent weeks as gold and silver have settled below January’s highs. But overall, mining profit margins, huffing on high precious metals prices, make them among the most profitable stocks in the market right now:

Our published gold research shows the metal is still way undervalued. The U.S. government is currently running its third-highest deficit on record.
Until Congress can get spending under control (ha!), gold, adjusted for inflation in the fiat monetary base, should be priced over $22,000 per ounce.
Many miners have budgeted for operations at $2,000 per ounce. At $4,800, their operating margins are at a record level now.
The price pressure for the metal itself is up. Mining stocks are an attractive buy amid this current consolidation.

P.S. It doesn’t matter how smart you are or how much money you make in the stock market if you give all your gains to Uncle Sam. Last Friday at 2 p.m. EST/11 a.m. PST, we hosted Nick and friends from Prime Corporate Services for a tax webinar to help you be confident you’re getting all the write-offs that properly structured individual investors are entitled to.
We’ve arranged for a replay here. You’ll be surprised at how much you may be leaving on the table.
